Maine has a Dig Safe law. It's a requirement for anyone planning any excavation work to contact Dig Safe before digging...even trees! This applies to homeowner's as well. Dig Safe must be notified at least 3 business days in advance of excavation to allow utility companies to locate and mark their lines.

FIELD OF TREES FARM  is a Dig Safe member and will perform all necessary submissions.
