Blue Douglas-Fir
(Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca)

Welcome to the world of Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca, commonly known as the Blue Douglas-Fir or Rocky Mountain Douglas-Fir. Although not a true fir or a member of the genus Abies, the Douglas-Fir was first documented as a fir by a Scottish physician and naturalist, David Douglas, in 1791 and the name stuck. This medium-sized tree stands out with unique blue overtone needles, reaching heights of up to 30 feet and widths of 15 feet. If you're seeking a graceful beauty that adds character to your landscape, this tree is the perfect choice. The Blue Douglas-Fir is considered to be the most ornamental between the three native varieties.

Korean Fir  (Abies koreana)

Discover the stunning Korean Fir (Abies Koreana), a tree native to North and South Korea and known for its short dark needles that showcase a beautiful silvery underside. At around five years of age, it produces large, eye-catching cones that bloom in a striking hyacinth purple, resembling vibrant flowers for over a month. However, be mindful of planting it in areas with restricted roots, such as heavy clay or waterlogged soil, as it thrives best in well-drained conditions.
